Background Engineered Environmental Associates (EEA), a division of Allied Engineering, Inc., a Maine owned and operated company, was created to better serve clients with environmental concerns. Developed with the idea that every service should be attainable under one roof, EEA had its own in-house lab, combined with the engineering and architectural support of its parent company. Qualifications EEA's staff was highly qualified to perform a wide range of environmental engineering and industrial hygiene services. Through every stage in the evolution of environmental engineering, staff was trained in private, state and federally sponsored programs, learning the necessary laws and skills to provide clients with the most up to date services in a timely and economical fashion. In the late 1980's legislation was passed which required EEA to concentrate its resources in the area of asbestos management. While under contract with the State of Maine, Division of Safety and Environmental Services, EEA was able to gain considerable experience in the area of asbestos abatement design, project management, air monitoring and Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) management planning. Experience used in providing safer, quicker and more efficient management of client concerns. EEA also created a sound and comprehensive Hazard Communication program designed to satisfy Federal legislative mandates. By offering quality programs which met and exceeded legislative requirements EEA was able to provide clients with the security that comes from being protected from imposed financial penalties, as well as being socially responsible and environmetally safe. However, while asbestos was a major concern for many firms in EEA's field, EEA put their experience to use in other areas of great concern to many businesses on a daily basis. Many areas of concern including: solid and toxic waste management, indoor air quality, biohazard abatement, heavy metals abatement, lead based paint removal, underground storage tank removal and chemical management, which affect businesses in different ways. EEA's staff was trained to evaluate each situation and recommend the most appropriate alternatives. At Engineered Environment Associates the client came first. |
